Terms & Conditions

About these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of openpaperless.com and every game, page and account service on it (together, the "Site"), operated by Open Paperless ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy and Responsible Play page, which form part of these Terms.

Who can use the Site

• You must be 18 or older and live in the United Kingdom.
• You must give accurate details when you create an account and keep them up to date.
• You may hold only one account, for personal and non-commercial use.
• We may ask you to confirm your age or identity and may suspend an account if we believe these rules are not met.

Free play only

Coins, XP and levels ("Virtual Items") are for entertainment only. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, exchanged or withdrawn, and are not your property. We may adjust, reset or remove Virtual Items at any time, for example to correct errors or misuse. Success in our free games does not imply future success at real-money gambling.

Your account and login details

You can play every game without an account. If you create one, you can sign up with an email and password or with Google sign-in.

• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Your password is stored on our server only as a one-way hash. We will never ask you for it by email or phone.
• Accounts are processed and stored on our own server. Your details are not shown in the page or in public tables.
• Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page or by contacting us.

Our games

All games on the Site are original titles created by us and hosted in our own games library. They are provided "as is" for entertainment. We aim to keep them available and working, but we do not promise that any game will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may add, change or remove games at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use bots, scripts or automated tools to play, create accounts or collect Virtual Items;
• attempt to access accounts, files or systems that are not yours, or test the security of the Site without permission;
• copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or redistribute our games, art or code;
• use the Site for anything unlawful, abusive or misleading;
• send messages through our forms that are offensive, spam or contain malicious content.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Intellectual property

The Site, its games, artwork, text, logos and code belong to Open Paperless or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may use them only to play on the Site for personal enjoyment.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Because the Site is free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of Virtual Items, or interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Links to other sites

We link to support organisations such as GamCare and BeGambleAware. We are not responsible for the content of external websites.

Changes and ending

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will flag important changes on the Site. You can stop using the Site and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms.

Law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although you may also bring proceedings in the part of the UK where you live. Questions? Email [email protected] or use our contact form.
